UID end-items may be imported into the MIL-Comply UID table in a few places with a simple CSV format. The import may include embedded items (with Parent UII defined) and/or those that will be embedded into items in the future using the Embedded UID Browser.
The standard CSV import for UIDs is available in UID Shipment Editor dialog ([ Composite UIIs ] button) and the Embedded UID Browser, among other various places in MIL-Comply. A simplified version (UID-CSV-v5) for importing embedded UIDs to be submitted to the IUID Registry is used in UID Expeditor.
The CSV fields include UII, part number, serial number, noun, parent UII, etc. The full UID Import Format [PDF] specification may be retrieved from the Mil-Pac website.
