Resolving Construct 1 Part Numbers

Construct 1 UIDs have no information, other than an entity ID to help determine the part number, and thus the nomenclature, of the item.  When trying to resolve them the Expeditor will first ask for confirmation of the UII Construct.  

Selecting Construct 2 will place you into the part number isolation process above shown in the previous section.

For Construct 1 UIDs you will be asked to find the part in the Parts Database.   Or add one if the item is newly encountered.

The process is optimized by presenting other items that have been retrieved during the session.   This helps if you are working through a shipment of a limited number of different items by presenting a relatively short list.  You may still have to use the Parts Database to find or add a part.
