The MIL-Comply Archive (MCA) file serves multiple roles. What started as a database backup format use of the MCA format has expanded to transferring data between MIL-Comply users that do not share a database.
There are a few ways to import an MCA file into MIL-Comply.
•Double-clicking on the file in a folder or email, or a link to one on a web page
•Right-clicking on the file in a folder, then selecting Open With, MIL-Comply
•Using the Get-New menu command in Shipper and Labeling to open MCA files in the WAWF/EDI In-Box.
MCA files that are created by the database backup process are more appropriately accessed by the Database Restore feature in AdminTools (Tools > Database Tools).
MCA files are exact images of database records. They should be used only for backup/restore or passing shipment data between MIL-Comply systems. Use the M12 format for creating import files. |
