Basic Labeling

cl_basiclabeleditor
Basic Labeling allows for very direct data entry that is not integrated with the MIL-Comply database or other applications such as Shipper for WAWF Receiving Reports or RFID Manager for Pack Updates.

The use of Basic Labeling is similar to that of Reprinting labels.   In Basic Labeling you create label sets yourself, while in Reprinting they are created when printing certain kinds of labels.   They share the similar selection and editing processes.

The Basic Labeling Menu is accessed from the Labeling File menu.

[New] creates a new set of labels, which will be stored in a file.

[Edit] opens a previously created file for editing and printing.

Location of the Reprint Files Folder

By default, Basic Labeling files are stored in the BasicLabeling folder created in the Application Data Folder, which itself is created when the software is first installed.  The Application Data Folder location may be modified using the AdminTool.

The Basic Labeling files may be stored in some other location of your choosing, such as on a network drive.   The Basic Labeling Menu shown at the top includes a [Set] button which can be used to adjust the location of the directory for these files.

Note that if you change the location you will need to move old files manually.   Do this by using the [Open] button to open the current location before using [Set] for the new one.   Then [Open] the new folder and copy the files you want over.
