Miscellaneous WAWF Preferences

The Miscellaneous WAWF Preferences determine how EDI transactions are created.

Send Initiator Comments (Block 23) - determines if Initiator Comments are sent, and if so, with which transaction; the Receiving Report and/or Invoice.

Send Data in Upper-Case - allows you to enter data in upper and lower cases, which some people find more readable, and have it transmitted to WAWF in all upper-case (we are aware of no requirement that it has to be upper-case, but...)

Use CAGE Extensions - sets the CAGE Extension option on a shipment whenever the Ship-From CAGE differs from the Prime CAGE.

Next Interchange ID - sets the Interchange Control Number (ISA13) to be used for the next X12-EDI transaction created.   It must be one to nine numeric digits, preferably unique within recent history, as it is used to distinguish transactions from each other, which is particularly important when determining the subject of an EDI Acknowledgment (X12-997) transaction.
