Testing Your Scanner

UX_ScanTestWidgetUID Expeditor includes a scanner test that provides a little more specific information about the data your scanner is sending and how Expeditor is interpreting it.   Clicking on Tools > Scanner > Test will bring up the scanner widget at right.

Both the Error Log and Remain Open options should be checked for proper operation.   Should there be a problem with scanning, an error log file will be generated ("ErrorLog.txt" in user's Documents folder).  It may be sent to Mil-Pac Technical Support for assistance.

Scanning a UID Data Matrix symbol should create a result similar to this example.

Expect to see a Data Type 52h/82: UID Machine Readable Interface (MRI).

Also expect to see a recognizable Entity ID, such as a CAGE, and a Serial number.   Construct 2 UIDs will also include a Part Number.

Click [OK] when done.   Then [Done] or scan another.
