Mil-Std-130

Support for Item Unique Identification (IUID) in MIL-Comply is focused on their inclusion in Mil-Std-129 container labels, and in transactions with WAWF and the IUID Registry.   Mil-Std-130 allows for consideration latitude with UID Part Marking, such as inclusion on nameplates and product labels.   Labeling includes a set of basic UID labels, such as the one to the right, for companies with less extraordinary requirements.

Besides the need to sometimes include UIDs on entirely custom labels, UID part marking can involve use of sophisticated equipment and label design systems.  To satisfy that need while still exploiting the UID data management features of MIL-Comply, Labeling's Label Services feature sends UID data to specialized label printers or label design software, such as Bartender, which can be used to incorporate MIL-Comply UID data in highly customized labels, such as laser etched name plates.

Marking to Stock

Long manufacturing cycles make it necessary to create UID part mark labels, and sometimes their unit container labels, well before a shipment number is known. MIL-Comply's Marking to Stock feature allows UID records to be established without identifying their target shipment, or even the contract/order for which they are being manufactured.  It also supports the same concept for printing containers, referred to as Labeling to Stock.  Labeling to Stock may also be used to assign a UID record to a specific contract and/order prior to knowing the shipment number.   MIL-Comply can later associate it with a shipment when appropriate.
