WAWF / VSM Automation of DLA EDI (DIBBS) POs

Electronic purchase order (EDI-850 PO) processing is highly automated in MIL-Comply.  Submitting Fast Pay Receiving Reports and Invoices to WAWF is simply a matter of receiving the DIBBS PO and then adding an invoice number and hitting the Send button.  Mil-Std-129 labeling uses the EDI PO data provided by DLA.  Adding VSM integration eliminates the need to access the DLA Vendor Shipment Module (VSM) website, by automating the interaction with VSM and integrating the data into MSL labels and WAWF transactions.

Complete DIBBS / VSM / WAWF Automation:

1.  Download DLA EDI 850 Purchase Order

Download Purchase Orders into MIL-Comply Shipper with our DOD-Certified VAN.

WAWF Receiving Report and Invoice is automatically created

2.  Print Mil-Std-129 Container Labels

Add packaging date and container dimensions (for VSM).

3.  Submit Shipment to VSM Electronically using MIL-Comply

Print MSL using TCN and Ship-To address provided to MIL-Comply by VSM

Print VSM-provided carrier shipping label (e.g UPS or FedEx)

Ship

4.  Add Invoice Number to shipment

oEnter an Invoice Number, or let MIL-Comply generate the next one

5. Submit Receiving Report and Invoice to WAWF via EDI

oAccuracy is ensured by using DLA PO data.

oTCN and Ship-To/Mark-For as provided by VSM

MIL-Comply VSM Automation retrieves small parcel shipment instructions and carrier labels from VSM in real time.   Freight shipments require VSM to make arrangements with a carrier for pickup.  MIL-Comply can download those instructions, including a Government Bill of Lading (GBL) when available, without the need to log into VSM.

MIL-Comply can also:

Print RFID tags and submit data to WAWF

Create Mil-Std-2073 Packaging Instructions (from DLA EDI PO)

Include UIDs for submission to UID Registry

Print forms (DD1348-1A, DD250, etc.)

EDI transactions (EDI Purchase Orders and WAWF Receiving Reports) require the use of a DOD-certified Value-Added Network.  The Mil-Pac VAN meets those requirements and is tightly integrated into MIL-Comply.
